Municipal ID

The Chicago CityKey Program was established to bring Chicago together as one community.  It will enable Chicagoans to obtain an optional, valid, government-issued ID that they can use to access a range of services from both the private and public sectors, including using the ID as both a Ventra and Chicago Public Library card.

Integrating technology so the ID can be used as a Ventra and Chicago Public Library card and the ID will be accepted by all City departments.

Potentially linking ID cards to benefits and passes for recreation and entertainment, sports games, cultural institutions, and goods, and services at partnering businesses.
